Get comfortable using your serger in this hands-on, 3-hour class. Learn to thread your serger and change stitching settings. Designed
to acquaint you with basic serging techniques, thisproject features four-thread overlock (seaming, patch-work), 3-thread overlock (seaming, gathering), and
a three-thread rolled edge (ruffle). At the end of class you’ll have a little zippered pouch for storing your serger accessories.

If you would like to buy a kit from us please let us know when you sign up for the class. If you are bringing your own fabrics please have  it cut before coming to class.

Supply List

Your new serger with all its attachments

You will also need to bring the following:

2-3 coordinating fat quarters or eighths,
cut into:
  Five 3½” x 9” strips, assorted prints
  One 9” x 9” square
  One 2” x 18” strip

One 18” zipper

1 Piece of batting cut 9 inch square and one piece cut 3 1/2 X 9 inches.

If you are bringing your own fabrics please have them cut before coming to class.

If you would like a kit with the above supplies the kit fee will be $ 7.

 

 We will provide the different colored serger threads needed for this class.
