Basic backgrounds, borders and blocks can be used on any project. You will learn how to draw patterns before quilting so they are in your muscle memory, using a variety of designs suitable for use in backgrounds, blocks and borders. You will also learn how to use stars, heart and loops as a background fill.

You will have an opportunity to practice these skills on the HQ 16 during and after class.

Having been a stay at home mom with my three children, I had many opportunities to try different crafts. Discovering a hidden passion for quilting, I have combined the love of creating, piecing, and finishing my quilts along with the opportunity of sharing and teaching others at our local quilt shops. After purchasing my HQ Sixteen for the sheer enjoyment of finishing my own work, I now have a new passion for machine quilting. I look forward to being able to share my craft with other quilters.
