Sewing, Quilting and Embroidery Classes for Everyone

Our staff teaches sewing, quilting and embroidery classes featuring a wide variety of projects for different skill levels. We've even got sewing classes for kids! These classes are open to owners of any brand of sewing or embroidery machine—all you have to know are the basic functions of your machine and how it works. Please read our Class Policies and other general information before you enroll in your class!

Do you love machine embroidery, or
would you love to learn? Join us for the
Anita Express Workshops, designed to
inspire you!

Sharpen your scissors: this collection is
focused on the cutwork technique, which
creates a "window" in your embroidery
design for a delicate, antique look to
lacework. You'll make a beautiful cutwork
sachet for fresh scents in your dresser
drawer or linen closet!

and one embroidered applique block
design, make this beautiful Smith
Street Designs in your choice of sizes:
table runner, full sized quilt or lap quilt.

In this three session class you will learn
machine embroidery applique
techniques using fusible applique, plus
multiple hooping techniques for using
smaller hoops.

 Learn to use the amazing Bloc-Loc
half-square triangle ruler while you
create this fun table runner.

This beginner level class will show you
exactly why the Bloc-Loc rulers
help you achieve perfect finished blocks
and how they make piecing easier.

You will explore lettering, monogramming,
applique, Artwork Canvas and more,
as well as focus on the new tools
and features of v8. Get hands-on
experience with editing and digitizing
tools from an expert BERNINA
Educator—you'll leave inspired
and motivated to create!

You do not need to own BERNINA
DesignerPlus v8 Embroidery Software to
join us: download a FREE trial version
from the BERNINA website and
install it onto your laptop—you will
be amazed at what this software
can do!

This camp is for kids who have either
completed Level One and Level Two
Sewing Camps --or-- who have attended
Sew Fun for Kids classes regularly
during the year. Instructor permission
is required to register for this camp.

Level Three campers will make their
own floor rug—perfect for personalizing
your room!

Project materials, snacks, bottled water
and lunch on the third day of camp are
included in fee. Kids use our classroom
machines.
 

 
For kids ages 8 (or third grade)
and up. Start with a fun pillowcase
in the first session(s) and then
work at your own pace on different
projects according to skill level.
